Brewery Creek People

The proprietors, that's us, Jeff and Deb Donaghue with daughter Nelle many Christmas's ago.  We are not originally from Mineral Point, but Minneapolis.  We both have backgrounds in South Asian (India) Studies.  Deborah has a Masters in Library Science and Jeff was a Doctoral candidate in Medieval Urdu poetry.  We moved on to selling various types of computer technology and then purchased this Mineral Point landmark in 1995 (photo on the right).  It was an empty warehouse, now it is Brewery Creek. 

  

A few years ago Peter moved here from a farm about 10 miles West of Mineral Point.  He has assumed the Brewery Creek cat responsibilities.   If you see him limping around outside it's because he only has three feet.  He was like that from birth.  He has matured into a wonderful, some would say spoiled, cat.   He doesn't think he's a person, rather we're  just bigger cats.  He has two complaints, the food is terrible and the portions are too small,  Have allergies?  Pete lives in our apartment, spends some time outside and walks the stairs in between. 

   

And then came Lucky!

... rescued from a snowdrift out in the country  just before Christmas 2009.  She has grown into her ears and put on a few pounds, but you will never see her.  Lucky hides at the slightest noise.
